I found some photos of our rehearsal on Facebook. Sweet!
As I wrote before, I was not exactly the picture of peace and sanity during our rehearsal.
Now, at least I have one photo to illustrate how I was feeling:
Needs more thought bubbles…
Yeahhhh. I think there was still punk rock going on at this time. I had a headache, I was cold (and peeved I couldn’t wear my smashing, white rehearsal dress due to the temp) and I’m pretty sure we were still missing a groom. What. Fun.
But, ya know, Polebridge is an interesting place, and there were plenty of things to distract the guests (if not the bride) from less-than-ideal circumstances. Such as…
Tripod dogs! This is Sasha. She is a Karelian Bear Dog. Apparently, some years ago, Sasha got into a fight with another bear dog. They’re pretty tenacious, and she has the wounds to show for it. She lost a leg and has some major mangy-looking scars. But she’s happy and she gets along just fine.
There are many other friendly (yet aloof) dogs roaming loose in Polebridge. They’ll be in a bunch of our later guest and pro-photos.
A washtub bass! I have NO idea where my MOH found this thing. I never saw it during the whole time we were in Polebridge. But there ya go.
While we corralled the groom, everyone else set up the rehearsal. Mom and sis started practicing the music…
We practiced the processional. I, with cowboy hat on head and ribbon-bouquet in hand.
Somehow, Mr. CP ended up with the hat on later. Not sure when. Looks sunny in this photo!
We had an informal pizza dinner with a variety of gourmet, hippie-pizzas cooked by the saloon kitchen. Yuuummmyy. Here’s a bunch of those llamas I told you about:
Did I mention it was cold? Well… it got colder. Mom and sis show off their mittens:
And that’s it for the rehearsal. It was less organized and more stressful than I would have liked, but it turned out OK.
Anyone else planning a really informal rehearsal dinner?
